Privacy Policy for Bepari

Effective Date: 18 August 2026

Last Updated: 18 August 2026

Bepari is developed and operated by Srikant Kumar, India, publishing under the developer name “SK Point” on Google Play.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Bepari processes, why it is used, where it may be stored, and the choices available to users.

By using Bepari, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. About Bepari

Bepari is a business-management application designed primarily to help shopkeepers and people assisting with the management of a shop or small business.

Depending on the features used, Bepari can help manage information such as shop details, Bahi Khata/ledger records, customers, suppliers, products, purchases, income, expenses, savings, shopping lists, Bill Book information, reports, and related business records.

Bepari is designed to work primarily with data stored locally on the user's device. Certain optional or supporting features, such as Google account authentication, Google Drive backup and Firebase Cloud Messaging notifications, involve services provided by Google.

2. Information Bepari Processes

Depending on how you use the app, Bepari may process the following categories of information.

Google Account Information

When you sign in with Google, Bepari may process information made available through Google Sign-In, such as:

This information is used for authentication and features associated with your Google account, including Google Drive backup and recovery.

Business Information

Information entered into Bepari may include:

This information is used to provide Bepari's business-management features.

Photos, Documents and Other Files

Some features may allow you to attach, create, select, export, or share photos and documents related to your business records.

Bepari may also generate files such as bill PDFs or other exported documents when you request those features.

3. Local Storage

Much of the information used by Bepari is stored locally on your device.

Depending on the feature, local storage may include:

Local information remains on the device unless it is deleted, included in a supported backup, exported, or shared through a feature initiated by the user.

4. Google Sign-In

Bepari uses Google Sign-In for account authentication and Google-account-related features.

Google authentication may involve processing by Google according to Google's own terms and privacy practices.

Bepari does not sell your Google account information.

Authentication credentials or tokens required to communicate with Google services may be processed as necessary to provide authentication and authorized Google Drive functionality.

5. Google Drive Backup and Restore

Bepari provides Google Drive backup and restore functionality.

When backup is enabled or initiated, supported Bepari business data and eligible associated files may be packaged and uploaded to storage associated with your authenticated Google account.

Bepari uses the Google Drive application-data area for parts of its backup and recovery functionality.

Backup Encryption

Supported Bepari backup packages are encrypted using the app's implemented encryption mechanism before being stored as backups.

The current backup system uses encrypted backup data together with account recovery material that allows supported backups to be restored after events such as clearing app data or reinstalling Bepari and signing back into the same supported Google account.

The recovery mechanism depends on access to recovery material associated with the authenticated Google account and its Google Drive application-data storage.

For this reason, Bepari does not claim that its backup system is zero-knowledge encryption, user-held-key encryption, or encryption that remains independently protected if the relevant Google account and recovery storage are compromised.

Users should protect their Google accounts with appropriate security measures.

Data Not Included in Business Backups

Certain device-local information may intentionally remain local rather than being included in business backups. For example, Bepari's local notification inbox is intended to remain device-specific.

Deleting Cloud Backups

Bepari provides a separate mechanism for deleting supported cloud backups.

Deleting local app data is different from deleting Google Drive backups. A local-data deletion action does not automatically mean that existing cloud backups have been deleted.

6. Notifications and Firebase Cloud Messaging

Bepari uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to provide app notifications, such as important Bepari updates or messages.

To provide notifications, Firebase/Google may process technical information required for message delivery, such as an FCM registration token and related device/app information.

Bepari may subscribe the app to a broadcast notification topic so that relevant messages can be delivered to users.

Received notification information may also be stored locally in Bepari's notification inbox so that messages can be viewed inside the app.

On supported Android versions, Bepari requests notification permission. You may allow or deny notifications and can change the permission later through Android settings.

Notification permission is not required for Bepari's core bookkeeping functionality.

Bepari does not currently use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, or Google AdMob as part of the V1 functionality described by this policy.

7. Location Information

Bepari may request approximate/coarse location access for supported functionality such as helping prefill shop-address information.

Location access is optional.

Bepari does not require precise location or background location for this functionality.

Based on the current implementation, location coordinates used for this purpose are not intended to be stored as part of the user's business database.

You may deny location permission and continue using other Bepari functionality.

8. Photos and Media

Where supported, users may select or attach images associated with business records.

Bepari uses Android-supported mechanisms for selecting or accessing such content and does not require broad access to all of the user's photos solely for these features where the platform provides a more limited mechanism.

Images and other eligible business files may be included in backup or export operations where the relevant Bepari feature supports them.

9. Generated Bills, Exports and Sharing

Bepari may generate documents such as Bill Book PDFs and other supported exports.

These files may be stored locally in Bepari-managed storage.

When you explicitly choose to share or export information, Android may allow you to select another application or service as the destination. Information sent to a destination selected by you will then be handled according to that recipient application's or service's privacy practices.

10. Third-Party Services

Bepari currently relies on certain Google services for specific functionality, including:

Google Sign-In — authentication.

Google Drive — supported backup, restore and recovery functionality.

Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of Bepari notifications.

These services may process information as necessary to provide their functionality and are governed by Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.

Bepari does not sell personal or business information to these services for advertising purposes.

11. Advertising and Monetization

The current V1 release of Bepari does not display third-party advertising.

Bepari does not currently use Google AdMob for advertising.

Bepari does not intentionally use the Android Advertising ID for the functionality described in this policy.

The current V1 release also does not provide an active paid subscription system described by this policy.

If monetization or advertising practices materially change in a future version, this Privacy Policy and applicable Google Play disclosures should be updated accordingly.

12. Data Sharing

Bepari does not sell your personal or business information.

Information may nevertheless be processed or transferred in limited circumstances necessary to provide features you choose to use, including:

User-initiated sharing is controlled by the user through the relevant sharing or export action.

13. Data Retention

Business information stored locally generally remains on the device until it is modified or deleted through Bepari, removed through the app's supported deletion functions, cleared through Android/app-data controls, or removed when applicable app storage is removed.

Google Drive backups may remain in the user's Google account until they are deleted through the supported cloud-backup deletion functionality or otherwise removed through applicable Google-account controls.

Locally received notification information may remain in Bepari's device-local notification inbox until it is removed as part of applicable local-data deletion or other supported behavior.

Bepari does not state a fixed retention period where the current product does not enforce one.

14. Deleting Local Data

Bepari provides a Delete Local Data function.

When confirmed, this function is intended to remove Bepari-owned local user data covered by that action, including applicable:

The deletion process is designed not to target unrelated personal files outside Bepari-managed storage.

Deleting local data does not automatically delete existing Google Drive cloud backups or the cloud-side recovery information required for supported backup recovery.

Cloud backup deletion is handled separately.

15. Cloud Backup Deletion

Where available, Bepari provides a separate option for deleting supported Google Drive cloud backups.

Because local deletion and cloud deletion are separate operations, users who want both copies removed should use the appropriate deletion controls for both local data and cloud backups.

16. Shop Deletion

Bepari may provide controls for deleting an individual shop and its associated records.

Where permanent shop deletion is selected and confirmed, Bepari removes the data covered by that deletion operation according to the app's implemented behavior.

Users should review any confirmation presented by the app before completing a destructive action.

17. Sign Out and Disconnect

Signing out of or disconnecting a Google account should not be treated as equivalent to deleting all local or cloud data.

If you want data deleted, use Bepari's applicable local-data and/or cloud-backup deletion controls.

18. App Uninstall or App-Data Clearing

Android may remove Bepari's locally stored application data when you uninstall the app or clear its app data.

Google Drive backups and cloud-side recovery information are separate from ordinary local application storage and may remain associated with the Google account, allowing supported restoration after signing back into the same account.

19. Data Security

Bepari uses technical measures intended to protect information handled by the app, including protected local storage for applicable sensitive information and authenticated encryption for supported backup packages.

However, no device, storage system, account, transmission method, or security mechanism can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for protecting access to their devices and Google accounts.

Bepari does not claim absolute security, zero-knowledge encryption, or protection against every possible compromise.

20. Children and Family Use

Bepari is primarily designed as a business-management tool for shopkeepers and people who help manage shops or small businesses.

The app does not contain adult content and is not specifically designed for the purpose of collecting personal information from children.

Because shops and family businesses may be managed or assisted by family members of different ages, this Privacy Policy does not impose an artificial age restriction that is not part of Bepari's current product design.

Users should enter only information that they are authorized to manage and should supervise use where appropriate.

21. Support Communications

If you contact Bepari support by email, you may voluntarily provide information such as your email address, message content, screenshots, attachments, or other information needed to explain your issue.

Support communications may remain in the support email account as necessary for communication, troubleshooting, record keeping, or follow-up, unless they are manually deleted or otherwise removed according to the email service's functionality.

Please avoid sending passwords, encryption keys, authentication tokens, or other unnecessary sensitive credentials through support email.

22. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Bepari's features, data practices, third-party services, legal requirements, or Google Play requirements change.

When material changes are made, the updated policy should show a revised effective or last-updated date.

Users are encouraged to review the current Privacy Policy periodically.
